    Diesel s vs turbo?

    The logical first car for new zealand is a cayenne for winter, dirt and all around .  The 4.2 diesel seems decently quick, my main reason forvchoosing a turbo instead is passing power.  Diesel fuel is markedly cheaper than gas.  I generally like the quicker option but wanted your opinions since the big diesel seems in the running....

    there are diesels with v low miles or 189 nzd and middle miles turbos about the same, new turbos start at 242 k mzd... Ouch

    For full disclosure the Cayenne Diesel does not have the same AWD system and can't have PDDC and PVT...

    At the beginning of your post, you mentioned the 4.2  but afterwards:

    I wasn't sure if you didn't mean both.

    In your case I would take the Diesel S any time. Its a nice sounding and very powerful car in the midrange.

    Nz driving rarely exceeds 120 mph but lots of dynamic hammer dpwn two lane passing where acceleration is apremium, but only 50-100 mph, not 100 plus acceleration.

    does the 4.2 l torque get it done.?

    With 850 NM? Well, it's worth to think twice....

    just kidding 

    its the most powerful SUV beyond the Audi 12 cyl. Diesel in the Q7. But the latter isn't available anymore. Production  was finished a couple of years ago.

    i was so worried about passing power I ordered a gt3, which should get the job done and much more my style although Sun spec'd it :)Smiley
