    Personaly I don't actualy care about the owners, and I do respect their private life. But pictures of the cars with the plates photoshoped Smiley ....how somebody can know for sure, who is the actual owner of the specific car?

    Detailed report about the 918 Nürburgring lap in the most recent Sport Auto. In short:

    - first attempts on tuesday evening (September 3rd) by Röhrl (7:04) and Timo Kluck (7:06). Slightly too warm. Simulations calculated a possible time of below 7:00 min.

    - cooler air and some optimization lead to Marc Lieb and Kluck posting times around 7:00 flat on wednesday morning (Sep. 4th). 

    - Lieb posting a 6:59 and subsequent 6:57.

    - car provides stunning acceleration and cornering forces, yet handling and driveability remain surprisingly docile

    - according to Kluck, a time of low 6:5x remains possible. According to Walliser, head of 918 development, the weight of the hybrid drivetrain adds 13 seconds on the Nordschleife whereas its additional performance improves it by 15 to 16 seconds. I personally would be curious whether this is only due to the performance boost or the handling benefit as well.

    Christian, is your secrecy a carry over from your diplomatic days?

    Personally I don't care who the owners are or what hotel they are in. When you get 20 CGT's and 918's together on a public road what do you expect no attention? That is why they went together. TO GET ATTENTION! 

    When you buy a 918 or a CGT part of the attraction of the car is attention.

    That's actually my car as seen on the configurator on my dealer's computer. I took a picture of it on my phone and the flash flashed. The mistake turns out pretty good, as if there was a sun in the background.

    I forgot about the pic until tonight when I clean out my phone for iOS7
