Pictorial - 981S break-in tour

Hi guys, unfortunately I can not show nice pics from the planned Alpine tour as envisaged - simply because we could not make it to the Alps as we had to stay in closer distance to our place due to a severe emergency health problem in the family Smiley Luckily things are looking already much better by now Smiley Anyway instead of a prolonged two weeks Alpine tour we had to split our vacation into two smaller trips - one into the wine region around the Rheingau/Nahe and the other one to the north German coastline / Frisian islands. We were lucky to catch some nice sunny Fall days allowing us to enjoy plenty of open top motoring Smiley

Actually it was way too cold to enjoy the beach without your swim suit, as the sign suggests Smiley Watertemp 14° C...brrr...still some tough guys went for a swim...

Aircrafts allowed on the island of Juist, but no cars - hence the special airport shuttle Smiley

Of course these kind of vehicles are o.k. to use - must be fun Smiley

Boxey looks like a massive car compared to the old british roadster Smiley

The 981S performed excellently on the NoS Smiley Smiley Smiley No prob to follow a Ferrari Italia on my first lap - just enjoying some open top motoring Smiley Just 15-20 sec slower than with my GT3 and I even did not try too hard Smiley

Though the Pirellis behave a little bit strange for a street tire - super grippy, but they do not indicate the limit by making these familiar noises.... Smiley Though when they finally loose grip it's not a problem to catch the Boxster Smiley

Thank you easy and DC Smiley - we suffered some terrible hours with my father who had to undergo a 11 hr surgery (including re-animation in the process..). After the first critical hours post OP he recovered incredibly well and fast Smiley Actually the docs still can't believe it - claiming that most 40yr old guys would not recover so fast (Dad is turning 79 in a couple of weeks). He's a tough guy Smiley and they will throw him out of the hospital on Tuesday as he already started to flirt too much with the female staff (heart and blood pressure is excellent, hence no dangerous activity for him Smiley ).

It was good to catch some fresh coastline air after that experience blowing away the dark thoughts from our heads!

Beautifull photos P-J ! I like the mix of car and unknown to me scenery .

Some german friend we have here always spend their summer holidays on these islands as a ' family tradition ' . Now at least I can see that it looks pretty as I was always wondering why they want to go to the cold north !

Looking forward to see your car in real life and also get a better report on track use compared to 991 if you can have a lap following one with a good driver.

Great quality photography, very artistic. Your car looks fantastic. I particularly like the shot of the stop watch and leather dash with the road ahead, and the rear half of the car with the fishing boat behind.
