I expect it for 2012 but since the normal Diesel seems to sell like hell, it may be delayed.

I can't keep up with Porsche... and I just bought a regular diesel too. Which a wonderful car too, especially considering the price. Serious value for money, not to mention amazing fuel consumption!
Yep, 313 hp Audi engine but I'm not sure if they are going to boost power output a little bit.
The Cayenne Diesel sells extremely well in Germany but delivery times are 9-12 months and lease offers are bad.

Thank you Christian. I wonder if it will be really necessary for my application. Traffic here at times gets so bad, there is no point of the CTT anymore. Hence why the S, still have the Turbo as resale is very poor.
The diesel also has more than adequate power in comparison to the Touareg V10 we have. It's only a tad slower, but the amount of gears and their ratios help a lot.
@Budster: I assume it has to do with allocation per country. I guess they under estimated their own demand.

I think you nailed, it, Mike. Porsche plans to raise Cayenne production in Leipzig early 2012 by over 30% to cope much better with high demand. This is what I am actually waiting for because a good lease deal from Porsche Financial will only happen if there is some sort of over-production and less demand.

Autobild.de have an article today claiming that the Cayenne will get the V8 TDI (from Audi) with 360 bhp, in 2013.

the article also mentions that there will be the 313ps version and at. a later point the 360 ps v8. which makes sense as the BMW M40d will comeout with incredible 375 ps and 700nm out of 3.0 liters. it seems unlikely that there would be three diesel engines, so i guess for the time being it will be 245 and 313 (s). unless they get rid of the 245 ps version altogether which seems again unlikely as they just updated it...

Porsche can be very flexible with the production in Leipzig, 3 different Diesel engines wouldn't be a problem.
I can see the 313 hp Diesel being replaced by the V8 Diesel but the 245 hp Diesel is going to stay, maybe slightly more powerful (up to 280 hp are rumored).

According to my P dealership the Cayenne Diesel comes to the US end of September. Is there a chance that the 3.0 TDI power will be increased to the rumored APP 280 HP by then? This would be awesome 
BTW, how are these rather big power surges from the same 3.0 engine achieved, on top these are clean diesels. Is there a new ground braking engine technology out there?

According to my P-sources, the Cayenne Diesel S will be equipped with an upgraded version of the current 4.2 l V8 Audi Diesel engine (i.e. more than 340 hp), rather than the 313 hp V6 3.0 l twin turbo. Official launch is pencilled in for spring/summer 2013, presentation in Geneva in March 2013 is a possibility. Performance could even rival the new top-of-the-line tri-turbo BMW M Diesel with 381 hp...
However, the Cayenne facelift will probably have to wait until H2 2014, as the Panamera facelift this fall will take precedence.

The second Porsche Diesel will be powerful and yes, more than 313 hp are in the pipeline but I don't know for sure which engine will be used. Price tag will be steep too I'm afraid but the base Diesel is going to get a mild power upgrade to 270-280 hp.

Yesterday I got a slot for November production of the Turbo S. Wonder how close is the press release, I wanted a turbo with Powerkit but the dealer offered a Turbo S November slot.
my dealer didnt mention any thing and i got a production slot for the cayenne turbo with powerkit on week 49..
