I wouldn't spend money on this car (like I wouldn't do on the Cayenne, Ρanamera and Macan).
Too many excellent 4 door cars to choose from in the Pajun class, offering more or less the same at a lower cost. Nevertheless, it will be a sales success for PAG for the known reasons of image.
The "458 class" model will be the aspirational Porsche for most of us.

This car is definitely scheduled by Porsche for 2015 or around. other things being equal. The vehicle class it will compete in is known and it will be a mixture of Porsche and VW Group technology like on the two SUVs and the Panamera . The look is not known but we can expect the usual Porsche styling elements.

I completely agree. The first "market test" will be the Macan and if it proves successful the next one will be the Pajun and with those two models in the lineup Porsche will enter new consumer segments which is what they need to do in order to reach the 200,000 cars production (if Winterkorn does not up this target in the meanwhile). I doubt that just geographical roll out is enough to achieve this production target.

Seems to me they had to fill some empty space with something and this is what they came up with. What makes it evident is that they are not going to have any clue whatsoever of any details of a car that is so far ahead in the timeschedule, much less with such specualataions of design elements, engine specs, etc 
Not to mention that latest info says that the Pajun project was scrapped after the VW-Porsche fussion since they decided afterwards that the next Panamera generation will share chasis with A8/Paheton/BentleyCoupe and therefore the current Panamera chasis will did with the current Panamera, and they will revisit the idea of a Pajun after the next gen Panamera... thats going to be a lot further ahead than 2015 then if ever...

90% of the article seems to be based on rumors and logic. The rendering is worthless, the Pajun will speak the 2nd gen Panamera design language and since nobody has seen the 2nd gen yet...
The Pajun makes sense but it won't be out before 2014. Earliest.
Regarding the Panamera: I didn't like it at first but it grew on me and now I love it. This car looks much bettervin reality but it is extremely color and options "sensitive". A family friend who saw my white Panamera Turbo loaner recently, just couldn't believe it is not the facelift. His boss has a silver Panamera Diesel and he said this car is ugly and looks completely different. It took me really some serious convincing to makemhim believe that my white Panamera Turbo is actually the same Panamera generation. People expect a sporty and aggressive look from a Porsche, not an elegant look. Especially younger people or those who love Porsche sports cars. Oh...with two kids and a wife, the Panamera suddenly becomes very attractive. So before you judge...
