    Mercedes Concept Style Coupe

    Mercedes is on a roll lately. This is the new CLA class, poised to slot in as a 4-door styled car below the CLS. It is likely to be based on A/B components and shared the MFA platform making it almost as big as the C seden. Well i'm in love with this design. Another cracking hot car. A AMG derivative won't be hard to make. Either just do it up with the upcoming A25 AMG architecture or go crazy and drop the C55/C63. I for one would love to see the C36 AMG back, both on this and the C-class range. It slots in nicely in their current lineup and would make sense.

    Imagine the new E and S with this design language! Smiley

    I saw this the other day somewhere and I like it too, so far. It borrows a lot from the Audi S5 which I also like, let's see what it looks like in person.

    Too stylish in my opinion...it will encounter the same issues the CLS will encounter sooner or later.

    Mercedes wants to attract customers by...attracting them to style. Over styling could be a serious issue though...

     RC, I think you hit the nail right on the head.
    I do like some of the design curves, but off lately, a lot of car companies have been focussing a lot on making the looks more expressive.
    The upside is that the car becomes more recognizable, the downside is that the more expressive a design is, the more polarizing it is; you either love it or hate it. Also, it may create a lot of attention that potential buyers are not looking for.

    We'll see how things turn out in the future...

    Well they have to right. An aggressive face is pivotal to brand recognition these days more so than ever.

    I think Mercedes' new face is epic: elegant and classic. Their lines language i find very clean and fresh.

    But, keep in mind this is a concept. The real thing will be toned/watered down a little.

    The new 2014 S-class will have the same design language. You can already see the details of the headlights and grille.
