Help Required - 997.1 C2S Exhaust Options in Australia (VIC)

Hello Australia (Victoria) Rennteam'ers!

My 997.1 C2S needs a new exhaust. The baffles have become dislodged within the exhaust and it needs to be replaced.

I am looking for a place (preferably Melbourne VIC based) that will be able to install a new exhaust.

My requirements are as follows:

I want it to be louder than the Factory Sports Exhaust option that was fitted when new.
I want it to be switchable with the Sports Chrono Button (ie quieter when Sports Chrono is not selected).
I would also like there to be 4 pipes (same sized) coming out the back with chrome tips.

I hope someone out there can give me some advice and recommendations where to go.

Anyone installed the Cargraphic exhaust on their 997.1 C2S?

OK so i have gone with the Cargraphic "Flap" Exhaust which means it will work with the PASM switch gear (ie soft and loud). The new version comes with remote controllers to switch the exhaust valve. However, i hate remotes (just something more to lose) but it can also be hardwired into the PASM.

I ended up going with Weltmeister in Melbourne (Richmond). You know they take their work seriously when the two owners put their mobile numbers on their Service stickers and tell you to call them if you have ANY issues! I never mind paying for true quality!

So i will have to wait about 3-4 weeks for the exhaust to be delivered from Germany. And i will give a full report once I have it installed.

Still got the am. Porsche exhaust will never compare!!! But as my every day car the c2s 997 is perfect. I can even fit four surfboards in it!!!

Here is a selection of boards (and beers) that i put in my C2S. Its a perfect surf wagon for me! Though i had to go out and buy some roof racks for the 9'6" Mal!!!

I absolutely love it!

My goal is to one day own a 60s 911 convertible in red and being able to put a surfboard on the passenger seat and go to the beach for a quick surf before/after work. Smiley

Porsche Brighton seems ok. But unless you have a mechanical background you never know what is really going on. I'm gonna switch to Weltmeister for a while and see how they go. I have only ever heard good reports.

I should be getting the exhaust installed tmrw!!!

Hi Woolfe

The Cargraphic Exhaust is great. Under acceleration it has a very nice 'raspy' sound to it. It works perfect with the Sports Chrono switches. I leave it on Sport setting most of the time. The normal setting is too quiet for my liking. And i like the throttle map under the Sport setting.

One thing i don't like about it, is that there is not much 'burbble' when you lift off the accelerator. I really notice this because my AMV8 (with fuse 22 removed) has awesome 'burbble' when you lift off the accelerator.

I haven't really noticed the 7kw power increase. But most importantly i haven't noticed any loss in power. I have heard of some stories of people getting cheap/loud exhausts that lose power!

So to sum up - i think it is worth the money, but i wish it just had a bit more 'burbble' when you lift off the accelerator.
