Does anyone know if PDK will ever be fitted into the Cayenne?
What is wrong with the 8-speed Tiptronic ? 
As far as I know, PDK will not be introduced due to various obstacles with the Off-Road modes/capability (PTM, etc.) of the Cayenne.

I am in love with my PDK! I think it would be sportier to drive. How about only in the cayenne turbo S? Any news about that?
The Cayenne is no sports car and the benefits of the Tiptronic, like others have already pointed out, are more important than the disadvantages (which I can't really see to be honest). Just now I'm driving a Cayenne Turbo loaner and the Tiptronic is working nicely.

Now this is what I heard too...the PDK isn't ready for serious off-loading...yet.

As far as I heard, no. Tiptronic all the way and it makes sense on this type of car.

Rolf Frecht's explanation that “The PDK system couldn’t cope with high-stress, low-speed manoeuvres like rock crawling without overheating,” , could cover the potential towing problem mentioned above. Not towing on the highway at steady speed, but for example pulling a heavy boat out of the water on rough terrain at slow speed or other similar scenarios.
