Citroen also recalled the C1 which is practically a re-badged Toyota Aygo.
Peugeot also recalled the 107.
The new Nissan GT-R actually proves the point pretty well that "you get what you pay for".

I think the Autocar article is mixing up two different issues relating to Toyota cars and sticking throttles, the other being the problem involving loose floor mats blocking the throttle pedal which was also discussed here a few months ago..
Unless I am mistaken, it is also incorrect to refer to "involuntary acceleration" as Autocar does. In the case of both problems involving Toyota cars the throttle would not close after being pushed down by the driver.
But the effect can be just as disconcerting for a surprised driver, of course.

No "Unintended acceleration/sticking throttle" for the Prius...... it doesn't even have "Intended acceleration".
HAHA, see it is the car of the decade in terms of its Green Technology. Cause what other way than to save fuel in having people too afraid to drive it 
indeed shifting is ancient technology - so is a fuel burning engine.. I happen to like both :)

Well, the shark/rainmaker law firms are already starting class action lawsuit websites against Toyota and filing them - saying they're doing this in the interest of safety.
Knowing that any settlement money - the law firm will take 33% off the top and leave the remainder for everyone else who joined their particular class action suit.
Looks like the real winners here are going to be the lawyers.
