Are you going for a contrast stitching colour on the interior? If so you can match the callipers to pick up that interior accent i.e. silver stitch - silver callipers, red stitch - red callipers. You might want to consider a grey opaco finish on your wheels. That's the flat grey metallic (non laquered) finish that Ferrari gave the 430 Scuderia wheels. It looks great against a black exterior IMHO.
Ok, so i understund that the red one isn't the case.. ;) I probably put the alluminium one.. thanks a lot!!
The wheels in grey opaco are optional? I will buy the 20" sport wheels... I didn't see the wheels in grey opaco on the Ferrari website configurator...
And what about the rev counter between red or white?
The wheels in grey opaco will be an Extra Campionaro (non standard) request. I'm not sure how much Ferrari will charge you for this. I'd go for a white rev counter in preference to red if you are not having red stitching or callipers.
Yes, white stitching will look great. I'd definately choose a white rev counter to match. Everything will then tie together in your colour scheme
If you go for the opaco wheels then I'd stick with standard black callipers as the silver callipers will detract from the grey wheels.
These are the standard bright silver finish for the sports wheel
And this is the optional painted finish for the sports wheel - diamond polished outer face with dark grey metallic finish on the inside of the wheel.

I have been offered a test drive of the 458 Now I just need to find the time to do it
Also, a test drive on winter tires does not make much sense, does it? I mean, how should one test the qualities of the suspension, steering etc. if the car is equipped with winter tires...
Who said that it is equipped with winter tyres I highly doubt it is.And it will be more of a ''see how the car feels'' , then an extensive test drive. The car belongs to an acquaintance. .
You seem to have nice, warm weather Driving a high-performance sports car on summer tires here in Germany at this time of the year would be a form of suicide
I' ll let you know if I survive ...we have booked to do the test drive on the 18th !

My advice is standard black calipers for Daytona Black.
BTW, check this out as well...
It is 1/8 scale model-looks awsome.

What's the name of this red color??

Rosso Fuoco. Here's another car in the same colour.
In English that's "Lipgloss Red".
All things considered, I'm surprised that the name "fire red" goes down well as a Ferrari color even in Italian.

Here is a California in Rosso Fuoco being detailed that shows the colour more accurately in bright sunlight. It's a very orangey red. I believe this is the colour that the F1 cars are currently painted in as it gives a much better impression of being red on TV screens.
Early Ferrari 458 Italia customers are selling on their cars for a £25,000 premium, according to reports.
The list price of the Ferrari 458 Italia begins at £169,545, but private resale prices are closing on £200,000, as would-be owners look to jump the three-year waiting list for new cars.
That price is set to rise further, too, as many of the first cars out of the factory will be fitted with options. Examples include racing seats at £4276, having Ferrari shields on the wings at £945 or a luggage set for the rear bench at £2987.
UK deliveries of the 458 will begin in the summer

I don't know why but i don't think there's 3 years waiting for the 458
Its certainly between 2 and 3 years. My dealer has 40 deposits of £20K and only 10 cars in the first year. The waiting time always comes down in year two as supply increases and some of the depositors drop out. The £25K above list is about right for a newly launched low volume exotic.
