    Don't see how 911 platform can be shared, unless VW wants to build a rear engine car too.

    The 911 is the Porsche mainstay and a very profitable car if you see the margins Porsche make on this model.

    The sharing will be for Cayenne (already done), Panamera (platform will migrate to VAG products), the small SUV (if it materializes) and the Rroadster (either new additional model or Boxster substitute).

    It's inevitable - see how VW makes Audi and Lamborghini share parts - sometimes major parts too.

    We just have to accept (somehow) that Porsche's independence will soon just be history. It's crazy attempt to buy VW has cost it its freedom and (partially) its individuality.

    We just have to accept (somehow) that Porsche's independence will soon just be history. It's crazy attempt to buy VW has cost it its freedom and (partially) its individuality.

    Even without the VW-purchase misadventure, I don't think Porsche could be immune for much longer so as to stay independent forever.

    Being part of the VW Group is the natural place to be IMO.

     Why do Porsche/VW executives continue to use the word exclusive when discussing Porsche????????

     Is it because if they use the word enough in conjunction with the brand Porsche, the buying public will accept it as a truism?
