Ron (Houston):
RC,
You need to start conviencing your wife so you can put a deposit down soon
No chance I'm afraid...unless I win the lottery.
In two years, the 997 Turbo has to go and right now we're deciding on what car(s) to get by then.
Three possibilities: BMW X5/X6M, Cayenne Turbo has to go, M3 Cab has to go, 997 Turbo has to go, only one family car. Not a very convenient solution.
Solution 2: BMW X5/X6M, Cayenne Turbo has to go, M3 Cab has to go, 997 GT3 MkII or 997 Carrera Cab PDK instead of 997 Turbo.
Solution 3: Cayenne Turbo has to go, M3 Cab has to go, 997 Turbo has to go, new Cayenne Turbo (S?) as the only family car. Not a convenient solution either but...
Solution 4 ("Fantasy"...winning the lottery solution): selling everything we have in Germany, incl. cars, packing everything incl. kids, moving to Florida, opening some sort of car business (just for fun, so I don't get bored), big appartment with sea view, 3-4 nice cars in the garage, private school for the kids and a smile on my and my wife's face. ........
Bottom line is: as much as I like the new Ferrari F458, it has NEVER EVER been so FAR away from my reality than now.
