It appears we are going to get Scud styling with a few cosmetic changes i.e. rear single lights and curved front headlight ala CA GT and 599.

When you consider that performance apparently is on par with the Scud, a case can be made for buying a Scud especially at the prices they are selling them for.

May I ask what the asking price of the Scud in Ferrari-SD was?

My price or your price?

Actually you can buy them for less than MSRP.

Residual values were on my mind with my Cali plan Smiley I went to the Festival of Speed at Goodwood today and saw the Cali do the hill climb. The noise from it's exhaust is sublime. I also saw the Panamera in the metal for the first time at the event and have to say I really like it Smiley It also made a great sound as it sped up the hill.

I had lunch a few tables away from the legendary Wlater Rohrl as well in the Porsche hospitality area which made my day.

I believe Kreso may be too pessimistic regarding 430 resale prices. In the US once the 450 is introduced many new Ferrari buyers will want the car. The dealer will agree to put them into the que as long as they buy a used Ferrari i.e. 430. As a result, prices for the 430 should stabilized and firm up. I could have waited to sell mine but considering it had over 14,000 miles, the dealer and I agreed it is best to sell now at a price less than what I was looking for because many present 430 owners who have substantially less miles will be turning their cars in once the 450 is introduced.

^^^Ok, so I'm liking that the dimensions are back down to about that of the old 355. I was getting worried the car F430 was "growing" a bit too much. But god, even without the bubble on top the roof, you can tell how tall and upright the greenhouse is. Yuck.

i like the back, a lot. those pics gave me new hope. the side profile is also not that bad, lets hope the front works. i do agree the greenhouse looks a bit upright, but maybe it will all work somehow. im being optimistic here.

I love the headlights!

As for the greenhouse, I think the bulge does a great job at what its designed to do - throw off prying eyes from determining what the real shape will be. I think the car will be a looker

Also, has anyone noticed the indents on either side of the headlights, which are reminiscent of the Bugatti EB110?

I was going to mention something about those intakes. They are almost like the air extractors above the fronts on a LMP car. Then again, they did make a big deal about the extractors in the rear wheelwells of the Scuderia (that Clarkson ripped on a bit), so maybe they're pushing that avenue of thought. Is it just me or does it look really long? It seems they've done away with the short-overhangs idea in favor of a more enzo-like long overhang at the front. That increased length may be one of the things making the greenhouse seem so bubbly. Love the headlights though, can't wait to see more.

What is with the trend of putting the side mirrors on the doors instead of in the corne of the window? Porsche does it as well, does it have to do with some EU regulation again? I don't like that.

The long front overhang struck me as well, seems to be a bit out of balance with the -virtually non-existent- rear overhang.

The bubble on the roof seems to be pure camo. However, the front windshield seems real to me, and I don't think anyone will complain that it is too upright :P

Why are there alos holes at the location of where the exhausts were on the F430? Is that because they used F430 camo, or because the triple exhaust that can be seen clearly are fake?

Also, the airscoop aft of the greenhouse seems to be omnipresent at all mules we've seen untill now... anybody got something clever to say about them?

The front and rear overhang proportions look broadly similar to the current 430. I suspect the upright rear air intakes are simply part of the disguise but also afford additional cooling as the fake rear cladding will really hold the heat in. The rear of any 430 gets hot at the best of times so a huge piece of cladding isn't going to be condusive to dispelling heat efficiently whilst testing. The real induction air intakes to feed the plenum wrap around under the C pillar.

The rear cladding is virtually a dummy moulding of a 430 rear bumper/fender. The central exhausts are likely to be real as the pictures from the Czech webite show the detailed exhaust assembly which has three central exit pipes.

This mule gives me hope. The back ducts appear to be fake. The front end may be saved because of the LED lights which hopefully off set the smilie face which Ferrari has been using. Keeping my fingers crossed.

-4,5l (NA DI)

-580hp

-very advanced drivers place, 2 manettino switches on the steering wheel, all new interior

- two bumps on the roof, advanced aerodynamics, rear is a mix of 599/scuderia

- very light
