The Q5 is a very beautiful SUV with almost perfect proportions. The Tiguan is ugly and boring in my opinion but my wife's best friend (actually her husband) bought one, so I should shut up.

RC - since when do you have this Tiguan?

It's good to know that RC is not only husband but also best friend to his wife.

Why... he says the Tiguan is the wifes best friend and the hubbie bout it for her, thats why he shuts up.

So, thats why I'm worried about RC if he bought a Tiguan?

It has typical BMW L shaped rear lights. Also new 5 series Tourig will have very similar rear lights to those on X1. If X1 looks almost same as Q5, then all cars looks same. I don't see any similarities.

For this is X1 meant Smiley

X1 is nice preview for new X3. X1 is like "baby brother" to new X3, but new X3 will have similar dimensions to old X5. Od this picture can be seen how towards the rear of the car the rear roof slopes back to give a very dynamic looking roofline that gives the impression this is going to be one sporty looking SAV.

its not bad, but its not great either. for me the wheels and tires look a little small, proportionally speaking. but it seems to be right for the target market. its just the sort of car you see on the streets and immediately forgot you saw it, and when you do finally notice it you won't be sure if its the X1 or the X3 or watever, it wont make a huge impression. but then again maybe thats the point, to be understated.

I like it very much especially from the rear. The side is ok but for me it does not look that nice on the front. A bit too similar to a sad face. Also the interior is quite ok. But talking about what BMW wants to sell: why do they want to sell a car that is overall no smaller than 10cm?!?! and with a price that is so close to the x3?

Because new X3 will be bigger - will have similar dimensions to old X5 . That probably means new X3 will have higher price than current X3..

BMW keeps improving interior design which I hate beginning of the old 7 series, back in 2002.

Now, this one promising a very well built interior design, both in terms of material quality and fit-and-finish, for upcoming 3 and 5 series.

I really hate the dashboard design of the E90-92-93 3 series which made me move away from 3 series and lead me to buy Audi TTS.

With integrated display screen, we finally get rid of that ugly extra monitör which sits on top of the dashboard

as for the rear lights:

I do think that they look like Q5's but it is not a bad thing since the car has typical BMW front and lines. Looking like a Q5 from rear is way better than looking like a Nissan Primera (I mean the E90 3 series rear)

E90 3 series sedan has been the worst rear looking BMW with the old 7 series in the last 30 years if you ask me. So this one, IMO, is a success.
