Yes,i think the same,Summer 2011...

but i've heard half an year before..,anyway they need space also for the Cayenne II..and we are at half 2009,so there is only next year,and i don't think they take out from the cap two all new car in an year..so or rumors are wrong or 2010 will be a 20 months long year

Regarding the 991TT, the 997 TT was out two years after the 997 C2..so if 991 C2 will come in 2011,991 TT will be here around 2013,and if rumors are true there is something wrong also here..

I think that a good solution to jump all this question is the one that MKSGR make me a present and give me for free his GT2

maybe press-release & pics at the end of 2010...time will tell us :)

I've heard, that there is an optional power kit planned (plus ~34-45 hp) for the gt3 rs.
Customers of the recent Cup Driving Session at Weissach can confirm that maybe. Anybody?

Unless it's a stroker kit, that would be a simply insane amount of power from a normally aspirated 3.8

That would even be a surprising amount with 4.0L...

Compared to the Super Test numbers of the GT2,the 997.2 GT3 is 7secs slower on the ring.

Drivers' Replubic also had the GTR 7secs slower than the GT2 on the ring.

I think 997.2 GT3 can match the GTR's performance.Maybe GTR is a little fast still.

Your logic is in line with the expected Supertest result of the GTR (next issue of Sportauto):

NBR: GTR will be 1-2s faster than GT3 Mk2

HHR: GT3 Mk2 will be approx. 0.5s faster than GTR

In summary, both cars seem to offer similar performance. The major difference should be that you can do 50 or more consecutive fast laps with the GT3. The GTR, in contrast, will probably suffer a lot (weight, PDK, drive train, tires, brakes) and will therfore be just good for 1, 2 or 3 fast laps. But not more. That's the price you have to pay for saving some $$$ when buying the car Smiley

Thats is, if your tranny doesn't blow up like during the SA Supertest, then you are out 20k more (warranty is voided at the track and the car's GPS logs if you entered a track) which puts you pretty close to what the GT3 would have cost you but you are still left with a GT-R

I'm not surprised if the transmission really did fail. I'm just surprised that I overlooked a post telling us that it did. Smiley

It was mentioned that one of the GT-R's after 80km the tranny blew, but its understandable that you missed it, blown GT-R trannys have become so comon it doesn't catch one's attention

Now that you mention the 80km, it does ring a bell.

........ but its understandable that you missed it, blown GT-R trannys have become so comon it doesn't catch one's attention

But don't forget that the GTR (with Bridgestone)is only 0.1sec slower than the GT2 on Silverstone in Drivers' Repbulic.
And the GTR which DR tested is a slow one since it could only beat a C2S PDK by 0.1sec in quarter mile drag race,and significantly slower than the GT2 in straight during the Nurburgring test.Probably it really has only 485 HP only.That why I think the GTR is still a little faster than GT3MK2.

The HHR result may be fast than our imagination.

The HHR number I posted for the GTR is actually a fairly reliable "estimate". The printed number will be very similar Smiley

GTR or not GTR this morning this morning i was at my dealer,and he let me hear the sound of a new GT3.

no words!with the valves open it sound like a Gt3 CUP ,incredible also how fast the engine take and loss RPM,really fast!it seems a motorycle

I've "fear" to see the RS... can't wait!i think it will be a beast!!
