    Sold my 987S, what should be next?

    My bullet-proof 3.2 987S is gone. Kind of bittersweet, happy it sold quickly and the depreciation beating I took wasn't quite as bad as I thought it might be, but now I kind of feel the way I probably would if I had just dumped Adriana Lima for some ridiculously bad reason like she always ran around the house in lingerie or nothing at all. Keep thinking, did I make a mistake? Smiley

     

    Hopefully, I'll order a MY10 in July or August, guess the short-list right now is Boxster S,  M3 cab and TT RS, not sure when the Audi arrives here.  Should I still consider the new Z4, some of the reviews haven't been very kind.  Curious what you guys would do or how you weigh the strengths or weaknesses of these cars.     okay, back on the subject: i had a Audi and a BMW, now im driving a Cayman S.

    All that i can tell from my experience: if you love Sportcars and not sportY cars, then its hard to be satisfied with anything like a TT or a M3.

    Apart from that i would really miss the mid engine layout, which is definitly a big part of the fun. A front engined car (possibly with a 4wd) would not entertain me even half as much as a mid or rear engined car with rear wheel drive.

    so i depends what you are looking for in a car..

    andrea, I forgot about the speedster, this could be a great car, I wish we had more info in it!

    nick1, I agree, the mid engine layout is big with me too, I guess I need to drive a 987.2 to see just how much better it is than my old 3.2. The new aggressive styling (or as Porsche says "dynamic") didn't make a good first impression with me but it's starting to grow on me.

    Haha bluelines, unfortunately it looks like Adriana has rebounded quickly and moved onto a guy with a 2006 C2 cab. Smiley

    I have some info on the Speester from my reliable Porsche saleman:

    1. It won't be coming until around 2010

    2. It will become the ENTRY model for Porsche

    3. The base version will have a 4 cylinder engine.

    That's all I know! :)

    No I am talking about the same car - because I showed the pics to my Porsche saleman that I posted on here previously and he made a few calls and confirmed it...

    Its just info though - so it may change lol!
