FXX vs. Enzo vs. MC12 ... What's are the differences
So this question that I've been meaning to ask just occurred to me....
(1) Can someone knowledgeable please explain to me why the FXX is so much faster around Fiorano and other tracks than the Enzo and MC12. The FXX is essentially based on the Enzo correct.
I mean, I know it's not street legal and runs on slicks with a beefed up engine, but 8 seconds a lap ...
(2) If this car is so fast, why wouldn't Ferrari enter it into Lemans or FIA GT? I don't think I've ever even seen an Enzo entered even on a privateer basis (or F50 fo that matter) but I do remember they campaigned a F40 GT for a minute. But I do remember a MC12 Maserati making the rounds I think in the FIA GT series and Japan GT Series.
(3) What was the need for the MC12 which as I understood was a purposely slightly neutered Enzo with a different body and crappier tires that did not belong on the car.
Thanks.
