It is much more than that. As I wrote earlier, it's styling cues are very similar to the BMW Z08. It has a wonderful exhaust note and plenty of power.
Looks like MB is borrowing a strategy they learned from Detroit, retro design. Nick, you are right to mention the Z8 since it's very likely that this thing will follow the same path as any other "revived styling", retro car...gone and not missed.
