    997 Turbo S, 997 GT2 Facelift?

    hey guys will be there defenetly a 997 Turbo S? and later a 997 GT2 facelift (like on the 996 GT2) ???

    my expections are 997 turbo facelift 500 PS. 997 Turbo S 520 PS. 997 GT2 facelift 550 PS.

    what do you think?

            My current personal opinion is: 997TT FL with 500hp and PDK this fall, maybe deliveries late this year/early 2010. No TTS, no GT2 FL.

     The primary reason for my "theory": limited time left until launch of all new 991 in 2011 (latest). A 997TT or TTS with substantially more than 500hp would be close to current GT2 (530hp). A GT2 FL could not be sold long enough to be profitable.

    911 GT2 is not sold to be profitable. its a hardcore car to stay with the competition. like carrera GT. not a sellers car. i hope they will build a 997 TT S and 997 GT2 facelift (maybe instead of the facelift a RS version)

    The marginal cost compared to the Turbo is far less than the 50k Euro selling price differential between the two models IMO. It shouls be one of the most profitable models per unit.

    There was a FL  TT with 500HP and an FL TTS only PDK with 520 HP planed, but lately there was a rumour that the TTS could be dropped .............

    My guess is FL TT this year, no TTS,  no FL GT2 and maybe no FL GT3RS.

    The 991 will come out earlier than expect.

    And that's what I want too, because the 997.2 is not good enough for me to spend cash on now.

    I want a completely new series. The 991.

    On a car by car basis - The GT2 is probably THE MOST profitable 911. 

    It's essentially a Turbo with some tweaks & without the front running gear sold at a huge premium over the Turbo.

    But agree it wouldnt sell in the same #'s as the Turbo.

    Right.. I have a deposit on a MY 2010 TT Cab.

    Until I see a publised  order guide for the car everything is pure speculation and cannot be relied upon.

    Forgot to mention.. All this waiting is getting me itchy.....and my guess is the price of a 997.2 TT Cab optioned the way I want with  PDK, lots of leather and PCCB's is getting real close to a 06-07 Ferrari 430 F1 with low mileage in today's market. HMMMMM

    Plus you have to make do with 381bhp instead of 480 (to 850 should you tune) BHP for the next calendar year!!  For your sake, I hope you don't know what fun you are missing out on

    Yes, and in this price class i doubt updating the rear lights and bumpers would affect the profit margin much, over the boosted sales not to mention it separates the 997.1 and 997.2 GT2 making it more valuable...

    From what I remember from the time , Herr Wiedeking said that to convert the Geneva 2000 show car to production reality, Porsche needed a minimum of 1,200 sales.  Porsche originally planned a production run of 1,500 but ultimately produced 1,270 units.
