Oh no - this new car is hideously ugly.....
It doesn't even look like a Mercedes Benz (from the outside). It looks like one of those horrid Korean limos that try to look like a prestigious German sedan....

Funny you should say that too.
I've written here previously that I have mistaken a parked Maybach for a Hyundai, but seeing this car makes me think that all Mercedes-Benz's styling has now been outsourced to Hyundai.

Audi is doing well, bmw is coming back and Mercedes is going downhill.
those brabus fog round twin foglights in the ELEGANCE are absolutely horrible. WTF this looks like a piece of shit asian car. im herribly disappointed in this.

WOW its amazing to see there are people which have the capability to design even more ugly cars as Porsche does! I'm excited to see what more new cars we will see in 2009!
And yes atz - those Brabus style foglights someone put on this car and let me feel this ia the option "camouflage me sporty". Looks like some young boys pimping up their cars and dont know better how to do it well.
As a german I'm afraid of our car industry. Where will this lead us to?

It will be another succesful middle class Mercedes. The overall looks are typical Mercedes but the detailing needs some getting used to.
I can remember how strange the W124 looked at first in the 80s. Soon everybody got used to it and it sold very well in every corner of the world to everybody from businessmen to taxi drivers.

The secret to saving energy
That'll be a pain in the butt on long trips if you spec it on a Bluetec hybrid diesel model.
You'll have to stop at gas stations to sell your surplus fuel to other drivers, otherwise your fuel tank might start to overflow.

I am not impressed at all. As you said some pics looks ok but some are terrible. I did not like the back half of the car as well as the interior. By interior I mean central console. The dash and steering wheel is alright.
