    Where to put my Bernese Mountain Dog

    I am 48 hours from a 911 Carrera 4S purchase if I can solve one problem.

    I have a 90 pound Bernese Mountain Dog.
    Where can I put him in a 911?

    I also have a halter with a seat belt connection for rear seat use.

    Any ideas?

    Wow, that's a big dog! (Or will be when he grows up.)

    I've taken short trips with my smaller (50 lb) former dog, a Shepherd Chow mix. She was comfortable either on the rear seats or on the shelf with the seats folded down. Sometimes, she rode on the passenger seat, but that's not really very safe.

    But she was much happier in my Range Rover, to tell the truth. And spirited driving was out of the question.

    Good luck and glad your dog means that much to you.

    I have had 3 or 4 Afghan hounds in my 968 CS, for the short
    trip to be clipped each year. Bit of a squeeze, especially as they like to get into the front seats, to see what is happening.
    Must say though, they seemed to really enjoy it

    No problem, I used to have a Leonberger of app 75 Kg in the back of a 911 sc. Just throw in a piece of chocolate and the dog inserts itself with no hassle. The dogs rear will fit if you lower the backseatrest, and the dogs frotal area will fit on the floor and itss head between the side window and your left ear.

    I had to swedish 110 pound girls in my 968 CS - also absolutely no problem!
    The trick with the chocolate works with them too...

    Yes, the back of a 968 CS can be very useful.

    Elmo(the dog) still is without a new car. I took a ride in a Cayenne S followed immediately by C4S. No contest.

    I'm going to look into a roof Kennel!

    Their dog harness is the equivelent of a seat belt for dogs.

    I've got a Saturday appointment with my dealer with the dog. I]ll throw in a piece of chocolate and see if he gets comfortable.

    Chocolate is very bad for animals, especially dogs

    Try a regular dog treat

    we went all over the country with 2 Labradors in the back of our c2 cab. now with 4, they don't fit in a gt2 or 3. we use the yukon xl:t

    Problem Solved. I got a Cayenne Turbo black/black.

    Told the dealer to call a year after the 997/998 come out. I'll use the Cayenne as a trade in.
