Don't worry, the 997TT will have more peak torque and peak power than the 996TTS, but more importantly, it will have more integrated torque and power than the 996TTS-meaning the AREA under the torque and power curves (the X-axis being rpm's, and the Y-axis being torque or HP) will be greater in the 997TT than the 996TTS.
For torque, 1pound-foot=1.355818Newton-meters, and in the 996TTS, peak torque is 457lb-ft or 620Nm. With "overboost," the 997TT will have a much higher peak torque (680Nm) and with the VTG's will have greater integrated torque than has the 996TTS. So hang tight man, she'll be worth the wait.

I just perused your photo album-exact colors I'll shoot for on my 997TT-speed yellow with black interior, deviated yellow stitching, yellow seatbelts, lots of CF. Cool.
Also, lovely shots up at Kennebunkport-my great grandparents on my father's side owned an inn on Penobscot Bay years back. Lovely scenery.

Hi Al,
Good choice on the color and options. I wasn't even thinking PDK until I test drove a F430 with F1 transmission last week. I really enjoyed the F1 paddle shifters and would jump on them, if available on the 997TT (as long as they work well - like the F1).
We do the NH, Maine coastal run a couple of times each summer. Lots of fun with great scenery, nice stops for lunch, dinner, etc. - looking forward to summer again.
