PABS1....I think I know what color I ordered my car !!!!!! MIDNIGHT BLUE!! If it looks slightly lighter, it probably has something to do with the bright fireball in the sky (aka the sun) reflecting off it.

I am so sorry that i offended your feelings, but the pictures of the 997S looks a lot like a lapis blue.
As they say here in Southern Cal " chill out man " don't take things so seriously !!!!

I'm very sure, that I'll go with "Midnight Blue". Mostly it almost seems to be black and on a bright sunshiny day the car offers you a nice deep blue. Lovely!!! But I like more the "Carrera Classic" wheel!I'm still waiting for detailed informations about the upcoming Targa. It seems to come to the dealer Oct./Nov. 2006. There are so many rumors about this car... more about the TT. Months ago I found a very nice shot of a tested Targa in "midnight blue".

Yes mine is Lapis Blue , and that is why it looked like the one 997S was the same color, it just looked in the pictures like a lapis blue and not a midnight blue but i guess the sun, the camera color and contrast made it look much lighter, also the lapis blue has a certain purple shading to it when the sun light is just right and your picture had the same shading on it, which the midnight blue doesn't because it is a darker color.
At least that is what i think, definetly I was wrong.

FWIW, I believe that's a C4S. I love Midnight Blue- great, great choice! I'm sure it would look incredible with the Two- tone interior- either Blk/Sand or Blk/Grey. I would also much prefer the standard S wheels.
