    black dials on a USA "S"

    I've been told that black dials are a no-cost option for USA 997 S - is this true,and if so, what is the option code? Some local dealers are telling me it is the same cost as the colored dials, and others are telling me it is not possible.

    What's wrong with us, when the dials are black we want white and when they are white we want black.

    in france black dial is no cost opton on 997 s mine is black outside black inside and black dial there are only chrono is white i don t know why i have seen black chrono too.
    it is not a caprice black dial it just the historical color of the 911 dial ,white dial is for amg benz

    I seem to recall someone posting awhile back that the no-cost black dials on an S may be unavailable in North America. Don't know, because my Club Coupe came that way, and I do like them. The white on black LED's on the 997's go particularly well with the black gauge dials.

    I find the white or silver backed gauges much easier to read and I honestly don't give two hoots about "gauge color history".

    Happily ordering Option 022 again

    IMHO the white/aluminum dials are too bling and belong on a Chrysler 300C not on a sports car. But if you like them enjoy them. I'm just glad Porsche offered the option of white on black dials.

    It's unbelievable to "meet" you here at Rennteam - though we are living 10,000 km apart we know each other from business (I'll send you a PM to let you know who I am ).

    I saw your E 55 at the parking lot in Pomona during my visit last December (remembering the chat about your very special car plate), so I could guess you're a "car guy" but I didn't know that you have caught the P-virus also (and of course you didn't know about me being contaminated with the virus...LoL ).

    Your new horse in the stable will be awesome
    Please let us know about your spec (other than the black dials option ).

    I hope Rennteam will help you a little bit to overcome the wait time
