    Some pics of the Box!

    I finally got to clean the car after a few weeks of it looking like a big salty mess! Hope you don't mind a couple of pics!!

    Steve, you've got a great knack for taking excellent shots! Do you have any training in photography or is it just a hobby of yours? What kind of camera do you use?

    Just for fun!! I used to work with a lot of photography on the design side but never taking the pics myself. Now I do a bit of interior property stuff for my biz as we were paying for shots which were pretty poor so I thought I'd have a go. The new camera - Canon 350D just is so easy to use though and the learning curve iss very steep as you get instant feedback with digital!



    This is still my fav pic though - what a day - great roads and a great car !!

    Awesome pics! As far as the 350D (Rebel XT) what lens are you using and what filters may you be using or digital enhancements via Photoshop do you do? Just wondering how I can better my photography skills especially when i pick up my car in Stuttgart in May '06!

    Hi Harry

    The lens really helps - a Sigma 10-20 ultra wide angle.

    Photoshop changes are dramatic and make the shots. I adjust the levels automatically using auto level. Then remove any blemishes with the clone tool.

    Then I use the shadow/highlight tool - you can expand it to show radius etc and midtone contrast (highlight brings out the clouds)

    Finally I adjust the contrast (usually increase). Sometime it needs a blue filter for the sky but mostly not!!

    Just practice and it gets easier in Photoshop though - not too bad to pick up!

    Pic I took while in California on the PCH!! I wish I had a Box but had to do with a Chevy Cavalier Added the car in though! One day...

    LoL - I don't think it's your photoshopping, Steve - seal is such a variable color depending on the light - that's why I love it Actually I saw some GT silver cars on a cloudy day and first thought it would be seal

    Love the PCH shot ... but you forgot to un-flip the Porsche badge when you made it left hand drive!
