Any comments in the vein of "you don't need to spend that much - delete option XS$" or some comment like that

After two drives today in the snow one in my C2S Coupe (has snow tires fitted) and one trip in the allroad, I'm back on the fence about the need for awd in the Porsche...

Order goes into the system tomorrow.

Re: So here's the (almost) final spec...comments?

Your specs look very good, , close to my choice.
If you want to save money, drop the adaptive seats, sports one are great. Are you sure about the park assist?

Hard choice between C2 or C4... have gone down that road and today I would go for C2, but not unhappy with my C4, specialy on these winter roads....
It' s always great to order a new car anyway

Re: So here's the (almost) final spec...comments?

From where I am it would be the C2S..

    Specs are very nice ..

    throt..

Re: So here's the (almost) final spec...comments?

AWD is great if you drive at least 50% of the time on slick surfaces or if you are active in winter sports and need to get up the mountain. If you travel extensively in fair weather the additional luggage space of a C2S will offset the necessity of a roof rack and carrier.

Re: So here's the (almost) final spec...comments?

you think you'll really need the park assist? maybe the $$ would be better spent on the short shifter...

other than that, great specs i think.

Re: So here's the (almost) final spec...comments?

Looks great Chef ,how about colored wheel crest #446. CRG

Re: So here's the (almost) final spec...comments?

as an everyday car , i think park assist is a must... but i wont go for the adaptive sport seats, i had them on my car,you never use them and they are 2 expensive.. sport seats are more than enough..

Re: So here's the (almost) final spec...comments?

Nice choices le chef, seems like its going to be very nice all around. I agree with some of the others comment about the seats, sports seat will save you alot of money that can be used for other things, carbon package would look awsome, and how about porsche crest in the seats (very nice touch). Being in chi town it might benefit you to have the 4-wheel drive. Either way you go, sounds great!!

    Comments back

Adaptives - I really like them, and as my wife will drive and she's much shorter, having memory settings is very helpful. If I had to I would go back to the standard seats with memory - less comfortable but still good.

Park assist - with my wife being a short driver and a narrow rear window it seems like a smart option, particularly as it costs less than repainting the rear bumper.

Colored crests - will stick with the plain ones as I will transfer my silver Porsche badge from the hood of the old car to the new.

Crests in head rests - nice but you never see them when you're driving.

No big fan of carbon fiber as it adds another material and color to the interior of the car - more visual clutter.

Short shifter - maybe - but I know it's an easy add later on.

The biggy is deciding what to do about rwd vs awd. Most of the time it's marginal as to whether you really need awd, but...

    Re: Comments back

    Le Chef,

    Excellent!

I tested the C4S Cab and I'm very glad I ordered it- feels so planted!!! ( love, love that butt too)! In your neck of the woods, go 4 the 4 baby!

The throw with the regular shifter seemed a bit too long- I would recommend the sport shifter. Also, I love the crests in the headrests- very nice subtle, inexpensive touch. Especially in a cab! You'll need spacers if you opt for the C4S.

    Re: Comments back

    Very nice!

I like the standard dials and how they transform color at night. Cool.

    No need for Navigation?

Agree that seat crests are nice for a cab.

    Good luck.

    Re: Comments back

Very nice car. A C4S Cab, sweet! I would go for Nav but that is just me. I will not buy a car without it. Good choice and now the wait.....

    Re: Comments back

I would also opt for the NAV because here in Europe (don't know if that also works in the US, even if you don't use the navigation, you can take a look at the map and see the traffic jams ahead of you.

    Re: Comments back

the crest in headrest are nice and only cost a couple of hundred dollars....

Yes.... it' s the beat option I've chosen , doesn't cost much and looks so damm good

    Order's in!

Atlas Gray C2S Cab Black interior
All options above got included excepts the spacers which you don't need on a C2S
    Added crests in headrests
Short shifter - dealer will fit at no cost if I decide I want it later

Thanks to everyone who "voted" on the spec.

    Car is March build - now begins a L O N G wait...

    Re: Order's in!

Congratulations!...you can consider yourself officially a waiter.

    Its in ,, congrats ..

    Re: Order's in!

Did you get it @ Porsche Exchange? crg

    Re: Order's in!

Definitely get park assist - it'll save you in the long run.

Also, if you're getting the rear centre console in leather, you might want to consider getting the main centre console and PCM facia in leather also. I discovered today that this is an option from Porsche Exclusive. Not sure of the price, but the dealer thought it was around Pounds900, so that would be $1350 ish.

    Re: Order's in!

The embosssed seat crests bother me because it's one of very few clean clear spots inside the car and like a clean forearm someone has to tattoo it. Besides everybody already knows it's a Porsche, right?

Re: So here's the (almost) final spec...comments?

Hi, I am placing an order soon too for a C4S cab. I want the adaptive seats too. Question on your order: why do you have options AP AND PO1L? What does AP entail exactly? Wouldn't you have one option for your seats? And what is the difference between PO1 and PO1L? Thanks! PS-I'm in Chicago too.

Demoted from Chef to Waiter - Again!

Car ordered from Exchange - we all got what we wanted out of it - and then we put on very badly patterned sweaters, held hands and sang "Morning has broken" to the accompaniment of a tech guy on an out of tune accoustic guitar...everybody went home happy after that

Main center console in leather is $2230...I can happily live with Volcano Gray...

    PO1 vs PO1L

PO1 is the code for the adaptive sports seats in standard interiors. PO1L is the code for adaptive sports seats when you have a full leather interior (they give away about an ear's worth of cow in that instance)

AP was a mistake left over from another configuration
