    Cayenne Price in Yellow

    Hello Rennteamers,

    A couple of weeks after getting rid of my 04 Basalt Black CT. My mother would like to get a CT of her own. She has since asked me for advice and I shall carry out the order.

    I have since opted to get her a Yellow CT. Yes a speed yellow CT. Why is that I wanted to be different and speed yellow is one of the original true porsche colors.

    My question is I know that speed yellow is availble at no extra cost for the 911 and I assume for the other models, but how much do you think that they will charge for the speed yellow on the CT.

    Will it be the same as an exclusive color even though it is a free color for other models. I would appreciate your answers.

    Another point is how much of a discount should I lookf forward too since they are going to be changing the model in the near future.(I have explained this to my parents but they want the CT now so what are you going to do)

    P.s: Yes the Cayenne will be Speed Yellow no matter what so please do not suggest other colors. FYI

    My guess is that it'll be color to sample which means it'll be:
    a) expensive.
    b) an additionnal 6 months wait.
    So tell your parents to hand in there, knowing that by then, the facelifted model could be out.

    Perhaps they'll even offer more color choices in the new model year?

    Just came back from a visit from my a local dealer here in Spain.

    This is the first time that I deal with a porsche dealership hence my last cayenne came brand new from a third party tuner.

    I came in and asked to speak to salesperson rgarding a new cayenne. I proceeded to give my list of specs and as soon as I mentioned speed yellow the salesman looked at me as if I were from another planet. He than informed me that Speed Yellow would not be possible and mentioned that the paint to sample is not available for the Cayenne(which i find highly unlikely). I than asked if colored stitching were available. (I got another crazy look). He proceeded to tell me that colored stiching is not available for the Cayenne (Something which i find highly unlikely again).
    But the worst look of all i got is when i asked for a rebate. According to the salesman, that particular dealership does not give discounts (Again higly unlikely). After nearly twenty mintues of nearly begging he than offered to give me 3 percent discount(only after i mentioned i might be interested in a gt3 too, but still a measly 3 percent for a model that will get facelifted next year)

    I finalised the order I wanted to leave a deposit. I was going to leave 6000 euros when he asked to leave the double of the amount since I now wanted the car in White. According to him Porsche accept only min deposits of 12k for White Cayennes (fourth point i find highly unlikley).

    So to conclude I did not leave any deposit and I said I would come by tomorrow.


    This story takes place with a dealer from Porsche Iberica(Spain). If anyone were to have any contacts I would appreciate it.

    I don't know if this applies to the rest of the world, but the North American order guide does not list "paint to sample" or any paint options other than the 11 regular colors.

    The order guide also does not list colored stitching as an option.

    As far as a discount, here in California I was offered $5000 off an S or Turbo. That didn't take much negotiation and I might do better if I tried.

    I don't have any idea why they would want a larger deposit for a white vehicle.

    I have decided to wait for either the face-lifted Cayenne or the Mercedes ML63 AMG.

    No colour to sample for the Cayenne I'm afraid.
    If money doesn't matter, you could call Exclusive department in Zuffenhausen and talk to them.
    But I'd say that it would be cheaper to ship a Cayenne to Techart for example (thanks for the pics, Jan ) and have it painted to sample over there.

    If your mother wants something special, what about the new Turbo S? It has a very special colour and it looks great in reality.
