Sweet - thanks Gaz. I'm assuming Halfords will be a bit cheaper than a local Porsche Dealership too

the mobil 1 0w40 synthetic oil at my store says "truck and suv" "for gasoline and diesel engines".

is this fine to put in my car?

Hi Alex,
0W-40 is the one to go for but not the diesel variety!! That is a completely different lubricant for obvious reasons.

You should get 0W-40 Protection Formula (fully synthetic) It's available at Halfords.

Better value at Halfords. I just got one of the 4 litre size.

BTW - make sure you check your oil level after re-fuelling and on a level surface. Avoid over-adding oil at all costs.

John - NOT better value at Halfords I'm afraid, just spent 40 quid on a 4L. 1L was 12 quid.

Next time I think I'll buy it online as it's half the price.
