    NEW - Gear Shifter Aluminum - Have somebody pictures ???

    Hello, happy new year...

    there are a new "Gear Shifter Aluminum" with Inlays in leather in interior color.

    Have somebody a pictures .... ?

    ...now, wait for this 986 Euro (incl. MwST in Germany)!
    Price is for both for gear shifter and hand brake...
    This is BTW, regular Porsche Exclusive option and price above is for Tequipment. You also need to pay your dealer to install it!

    ...that is regular Alu gear shifter(code X97), on pic that I posted is Exclusive Alu shifter(code DAD)... Personally, I like normal Alu Shifter(X97) more...

    Nope. It's real alu. But only available in the Cayman and Boxster

    Well, sorry KF but, you are wrong! My friend has that one(code X97) in his 997(produced October 2005)... Check Porsche Configurator(3D Version) on Porsche German web site...

    I tried to check the price at my local dealership ... and it was something close to 600 Euro for the X97 when placed within a new purchase order ... so i wonder what the price would be via the "exclusive" department not buying a whole new car ... i guess something like 1000 Euro

    No way José ... that's way to much for my taste.

    There are many posted pics. The last one is the Cayman option (look at this real pic). the one before was the 997/ Boxster/ Cayman Tequipment option.

    And the first pic could be the alu optic.

    So you are saying that X97 is not available for 997/997s?
    Well, than my 997 price list(model year 2006) and Porsche Configurator are wrong...??? And I forget my friends 997S with X97 option! You are really 100% sure that you are right???

    hi everybody,

    X97 definetly is available for 997 ... looked it up yesterday at my dealer ... he ordered one ... and it is all aluminum ... no plastics ... still don't know the price tag for sure ...

    By the way ... the 997 sales booklet has a yellow 997s with "exclusive" options pictured ... and there it says X97 for the shifter shown above ...

    I agree with Tom! There are two alu shifters options for 997/997S X97 and DAD codes. DAD is Porsche Exclusive option ans X97 is normal option...

    Branimir and Tom are right on the money.

    Two different options: DAD(Exclusive) and X97(straight factory option).....they appear on window sticker as such (my dealer has cars with both options).

    Just my opinion but X97 looks weird bling-bling to me, incongruous with the car. DAD is fine (I like DAD e-brake handle better than shifter) but I still would rather have the factory carbon (from Carbon Package) shifter or the stock shifter.
