I trust TN's expertise very much, he's in love with the 911 Turbo and he's one journalist who really can drive, not only write. 
So the Gallardo is a disappointment, I'm suprised to hear that. Maybe Lamborghini/Audi tried to hard to make a cheaper copy of the Murcielago or they wanted to make the Gallardo as safe as possible, I really don't know. But driving 70 mph in first gear isn't what I call helpful on the track and the fact that the engine needs to rev high to move fast doesn't make it much enjoyable for some nice and fast country road driving.
Maybe Lamborghin/Audi review TN's comments and try to find a more sporty setup for the Gallardo. Right now, based on Tiff's comments, the Gallardo isn't more than a very nice looking high power sports car but not really something I'd like to own.

I didn't know Tiff left TopGear, I already was wondering why I didn't see him anymore.

Not that this will change the character of the car that much, but apparently there is an optional sport suspension that increases stiffness by 15 percent at the front and 20 percent at the rear.
The comment Tiff makes about the gearing is indeed dissapointing however. Looking forward to the Ferrari 360 Modena replacement though.

Tiff is clearly in a class of its own: watch him doing a hot lap and simultanously talking about his impressions in such an easy manner . Now that's what TopGear is missing now with the black helmet i.e. voiceless but skilled mr. Stig.. It's still a very entertaining motoring programme though.

The story with Tiff/Top Gear is as follows: About 2 seasons ago BBC decided to cancel the Top Gear show in its current form. That meant that Tiff and Vicky moved to Channel 5 to start 5th Gear. And then BBC started Top Gear again with Jeremy Clarkson (the idiot)....go figure!
Tiff is my favourite testdriver on tv, especially since he is a professional race driver and really knows how to drive. Check out his legendary test of the E39 BMW M5 vs W210 E 55 AMG and Jaguar XJR, the powerslides just go on and on.....

Thank you for the info and the urls. These downloads on racingflixsite site don't work well. It's a pity I can't receive channel5 through cable here. Vicki in the Stradale must be something like the automotive equivalent of prozac
