    Vanity plate for my P-car, asking your opinion

    8 characters total allowed here in NC.
    I have 2 questions and appreciate any input.
    1.) If you saw THR4-IAM (or THR4 IAM) on a plate would you know what it meant or where it came from? (I was a Philosophy major.)
    2.) Is it pretentious or is it cool?
    I can also go with (i.e. it's also available) WYT-SQRL (or WYT SQRL) for our rare white squirrels.

    You got me by the goolies on that one , but # 1 looks kind of cool and the 4 is very fitting .

    Forget the squirrel business , its too cheesy ..

    Honest view - the philosophy one won't make sense to some people but those that get it, will think it's a bit pretentious.

    I've already bought my UK personal plate for my new car...safest choice...my wife's first name...now she won't object to how much I spend on the car!

    I think its cool. Do what you like. It's a vanity plate after all, so you can't escape it being pretentious. You could also go with C-RGO ZUM, so some read it as "Car go zoom" and you know it from the Latin.

    IMO, It's pretty rare to see a vanity plate that I think is cool. Michael Jordan had "JUMP 23" on his Vette way back when and that was cool. The guy who had "50 MADE" on his Ferrari was cool. But I'm having a hard time thinking of any others. . . I think you're better off going without one. Although, admittedly, my thoughts on this subject matter could be influenced by local cultural view in Los Angeles, which are generally fairly negative towards vanity plates.

    Remember that comedy movie " Up In Smoke " with Cheech and Chong (dont know there real names) , he had a cherish plate on his Caddy or whatever it was , it read MUF DVR but funny thing was that not many people watching the movie spotted it..

    consider "squirrly"
    it would give you a nod to the local fauna, and might keep any road rage guys away...he's too crazy to fool with <g>

    Howabout a "vanity" plate with letter and number combo which is LEAST memorable. The letters and numbers most often mistaken or difficult to read?

    Like WL0-6RZ

    What's the most difficult phonetic, visual combo for the mind to remember at a glance?

    Hehe. yeah, make the plate hard to read. That's all they're gonna get, a glance when you pass them like they're standing still. They're gonna be pissed and then read the plate which sez, "SEEYA," or "URALOSR." Then see your car next week in the parking lot and turn you into the loser.

    It's Cheeh Marin and Tommy Chong. Tommy is currently serving time for selling materials that would be useful in smokin da kine. Dame shame, IMO.
