    GT3 weight

    I've noticed that alot of people haven't mentioned the weight of this car. I forgot how light the 996 GT3 was so I can not make any estimate. I had a source who said it would most likely be well below 3000 lb. OPINIONS PLEASE

    The last GT3 was over 3,100 lbs, so the new one is likely to be around 3,200 lbs, unless there are some new surprises...

    The first thing you have to do when you want to talk about car weights is to specify which weight you mean, DIN standard weight, ISO standard weight, dry weight, kerb weight, or whatever.

    More lies are told about car weights than about body weights at a ladies' coffee morning!

    Yes, very true Fritz. Btw, Corvette Z06 weight (3,131 lbs) is specified as curb weight including all fluids and FULL tank of fuel. This is rare - most give 1/2 tank at best and some companies (Ferrari) seem to give its weight as if the car was parked on the moon

    ..... and without any fuel, oil or coolant on board!

    Unless they get some help from the Carbon Fiber Tech, to make the car lighter
