I moved this thread to the Porsche Forum because it doesn't have something to do with the Cayenne specifically.
Personally, I think the i-Drive System is the wrong way because it introduces too much complexity in one system.
My wife who's a physician can't even use our TV remote control to it's full extent, so I think it is a very bad idea to promote iDrive systems for future cars. I also don't see the sense in doing so. I love computers and for me, the more complexity, the better it is but I wouldn't like to have such a thing on my car where I have to scroll down/up several menues to be able to adjust my A/C temperature while I drive.
How about touch screen controls? Or even something new?
I really don't understand why BMW had to introduce iDrive.
How about a little poll?
The poll is
not about enhanced or better communications systems like Navigation, Car Computer, Diagnostic System etc. (we all want that on our cars, right?
) but specifically about a system like iDrive!
Would you like to have iDrive or a similar system on your next Porsche?
Definetely yes.
Yes but less complicated.
No, I prefer a more "classic" system with buttons or maybe, less complicated, TFT monitor operated.
No, it is too complicated for me.
Definetely not, I don't need such a system on my car.
