I curently have 2001 BMW X5 4.4i sport, it's a great car indeed, once u slip winter tires on it's amazing in the snow. But due to the ammount of problems and dealers unable to fix it - brought my car 7 times to fix my PDC (Park Distance Control) and yes it's still broken. Was thinking of getting Cayenne Turbo, is it any good in winter, cuz if by all the reviews i read so far it's really great in the summer conditions.
Thnx for replies in advance.
From all I know, the Cayenne Turbo is a great winter car but of course, as ALL SUVs, with winter tires only.
You can't compare the X5 to the Cayenne, the X5 is not even close as off-roadable as the Cayenne is.
The Cayenne Turbo is a masterpiece of modern SUV technology, unfortunately it also is too heavy and eats a lot of fuel. But if you want to have the drive feel of a sports limousine combined with very good off-road capabilities (incl. very good winter capabilities), the Cayenne Turbo is the right choice for you. Not to forget about the performance data: from 0-200 kph (125 mph), the Cayenne Turbo has the same performance figure as the former 911 (type 993).
Or to say it with BMW performance figures: the BMW M5 is only around 2-3 seconds faster from 0-125 mph.
