The top speed of any current Porsche is electronically limited by the rev limiter. When the rev limiter comes on fuel is cut and the car will not go any faster. That is why on some test reports they make a note that the top speed is electronically limited. Jeff

Right, the rev limiter on the 996 Turbo in 6th gear jumps in at around "true" 318 kph (~ 199 mph).
I wonder why ANY dealer in the world would claim a 155 mph speed limit on the 996 Turbo, doesn't this guy want to sell his cars?
