    Cayenne V6 Pics

    It looks identical to the Cayenne S (Ouch!)
    Possible CGT V10 powered on the way too in the next few years. (A bit too much IMO but why not afterall? I mean, if the demand is there you might as well satisfy it!)

    the pics at autoexpress.co.uk are not official V6 pics yet IMO... it's an ordinary cayenne S on the top and the engine pic is an open VW touareg hood.

    anyway, the cayenne V6 won't differ much in look from the S version IMO. at least i have no idea what they could change? maybe 15" rims as standard and only 1 exhaust pipe

    but we have to wait and see...

    240 hp Cayenne V6, 0-60 mph 8 sec NO WAY !!!!!!
    Cayenne is much to heavy for a V6 240hp

    The official ones shouldn't be too long now anyway.
    A new Porsche that covers 0 to 100 in more than 8 secs.

    It looks like standard rims will be 17". There are already Porsche "N" approved Pirelli Scorpion A/T tires in 17".

    i agree with dedam that 8 sec for 0-100 kph seems quite optimistic anyway.

    but the cayenne is no porsche 911... it's an SUV which has to battle the ML, the X5, the touareg, the RX300/330... and these models offer comparable engines with similar performance specs.

    the cayenne IMO already caused some damage to porsche's brand value -- but it's here and we have to live with it. but on the other hand it's good for the brand value if porsche is highly successful. nothing would be more worse if porsche won't sell enough cayennes... so i appreciate it if they do anything to make this car successful.

    What I don't understand is why there is a need for Cayenne V6?

    If the engine is from VW the body looks kind of similar why would they sell it under Porsche?

    Doesn't make any sense to me. I think they should keep the performance level up, atleast "S" & Turbo are what define Porsche engineering.

    Next thing you know they probably want to come up with a 4 Cyl. Cayenne to compete with Honda CVR and Freelander too

    The photos brought back on car express do not regard the cayenne v6, but in before the cayenne S and second the V6 mounted over a tuareg.........!

    TO MY WARINING THE V6 IT WOULD DEVALUATE THE IMAGE VERY PORSCHE

    Oh boy, they show the Touareg's V6 as the Cayenne's V6 on that picture...ouch.

    OK. BUT THOSE CAYENNE IS PRE A SERIES, ACKNOWLEDGES FROM SOME PARTICULAR.................
    AND THEN THE CAYENNE HE IS ADVANCED TO THE CONTENDERS FOR ITS PERFORMANCES, THEREFORE WITH THIS MOTORIZATION AND OBVIOUSLY ANJ ADEQUATE PRICE WILL BE ACCESSIBLE TO AL. I WOULD NOT WANT THAT PORSCHE IT BECOMES ONE BMW OR ONE MERCEDES LOSING ALL THE ITS FASCINATION.....

    That makes a pretty good argument I guess. I am not necessarily opposed to a V6 but I understand those who do. Some at my local dealership are privately opposed to a six and I believe for the same reason. But ... I believe it is coming regardless of our opinions. It will sell more Cayennes and make more profit for Porsche and that has been the stated goal of the Cayenne initiative from the beginning.
