    RC, when are the August CGT exhibition/test days & will the

    factory that makes TT cabs be open then (or is the same factory)? what airport would one fly in from the US for this?

    The 996 Turbo Cab is made in Zuffenhausen, not in Leipzig.
    Factory should be open again at the end of August (they have a longer factory holiday this year).
    The CGT days are on the 25th, 26th and 31th of august 2003 as far as I remember.

    Regarding the Ferrari Rental: yes, this is a well known Ferrari Rental company in Germany.
    Minimum rental age 25 years (driver license owner for at least 5 years!), the prices are pretty high but a full insurance coverage is included as far as I know.
    Contact CR (Germany) cr@rennteam.com if you need more details, he's Rennteam's Ferrari pro and member of the Ferrari Club Germany, he might be of help.

    How far apart are Zuffenhausen and Leipzig and what's the closest airport to one of them? Also, how do the three seperate CGT days work? Does every owner get to pick one or ? What part of Germany are you in? If we go, it would be nice to finally meet you!

    Ben, Leipzig has an airport and Stuttgart airport is only about 20-30 km away from Zuffenhausen.
    Leipzig is 470 km away from Stuttgart (by car).
    By plane, it shouldn't be more than one hour or even less.
    I'm sorry, I don't know how how the CGT days work but you might want to ask our User Larry B who will be there.
    I'm in Bavaria (near Munich) and I'd love to meet you.
    Unfortunately my wife expects our second child end of august, so it might not be possible to meet.
    Anyway, drop me a mail or a PM before you leave the US or just contact me while you're in Germany.

    That's only the first few CGT days. Some swiss buyers couldn't get anything earlier than... May 14th '04!... In one case at least, the customer has/had his car scheduled for production in May '04. Because of that, he will most probably move that further away, in order to be able to make the definitive order after having seen/discussed some details for real...

    ben, I've no idea how this is organized. Maybe some countries/dealers got earlier dates and still have available slots. I don't know, but you should ask your dealer asap...

    According to PAG, all dates for the Carrera GT tests are filled for this year - next opening is April/May 2004.
