Cayenne V6
I won't speculate on the launch time schedule of the V6 but Porsche needs this Cayenne model for one simple reason:
to increase sales numbers and therefore reduce production cost further.
Personally I think that a Cayenne V6 is even more worse than a Cayenne Diesel.
A high power Cayenne Diesel with let's say the same power figure as on the V8 would increase Cayenne sales substantially, especially in Europe.
Porsche actually made a mistake in Cayenne marketing:
instead of trying to promote the Cayenne as an independent product, they tried to make the Cayenne look like an off-road 911. I'm not sure this was a clever idea because by now every owner should have learned that the Cayenne is a great SUV, especially the Turbo but there is no similarity to the 911.
And regarding the US and especially Texas: I also think that the Cayenne isn't large enough. Owning a ML 55 AMG for more than two years now and expecting our second child, the ML definetely is too small for our little family.
A larger Cayenne would be nice but I'm afraid this would increase weight further.
