    FYI, 2006 MSRP update

    The new prices came out while I was at the dealer this Saturday finalizing my order. The new base price for an 06 997S Coupe is $81,400.

    The option prices appear unchanged. Sorry, I didn't find out what the base price is for the non-S or other models.

    While we were looking through option lists, we did find a listing for the "19-inch INKA" wheel as option XRR (also called SportEvo wheel in ROW) but couldn't find any other info or pics about it.

    I wish they were that cheap in the UK , It would almost be like buy one get the second free .

    Jeeps we get well stitched up over here..Base 997 $107,400 and the 997s $118,400

    The Euro price is 10,400 which would put it at around $12,500 for the US.

    Am I to understand based upon your pricing that the S has been increased by approx. 3% but you then have to order the Bi-Xenons as an option? I thought the Bi-Xenons were standard on the S. Otherwise you are being overcharged for the base 997.

    Well, I would get heated seat on any car. For some reason I like haveing cold air blown at me, and to have the seat hot. Weird, I know, but that's how I like it.

    That price is for a non-S cabriolet.
    Base for a 2005 S cab was $88,900.

    I think you're right, he would have been overcharged had he ordered an S; his note indicates, however, that he ordered a base 997 cabriolet, which appears to have the same price as the 997S coupe.

    I live in Coral Springs, South Florida, when it is winter and the top is down and it is in the 40s the heated seats are just great. Once you have them you would love them. I had them in my CLK cab but in my beamer 330CiC it did not have them and I really missed it. The car I bought is a base 997 cab, so the xenon are an option.I do not track, race, or have back roads here in south florida. I bought the car to tour and have a great ride. It is my dream car with all the options.

    That's not weird if you live in New Hampshire but heated seats are not necessary in south Florida.

    You are correct that heated seat are not necessary in south Florida, but whenever I go down to Florida to run road races (my other passion is competitive running, from track races at the mile distance to road races up to the half marathon) in the winter (my all-time favorite road race next to the Boston Marathon is the Naples Daily News Half Marathon in Olde Naples and Port Royal in January), I love to drive a convertible topless down there (where I'm from it's usually about 0 degrees Fahrenheit and snowy in January), even if it's 40 degrees F, and those heated seats come in mighty handy!

    You guys are hard core! After getting used to the south Florida heat for 31 years, I wouldn't dream of putting the top down when it's 40F.
