Red fluid leakage issue solved, F1 transmission overfill
Took my car in today and the service advisor told me promptly that the fluid is F1 transmission fluid and the leakage (purging) is due to overfill at the factory. It is a known issue and most of their cars that they have not driven hard as part of the PDI, experience it. Most customers don't want them to do it, so now at delivery they warn them of the phenomenah. The mechanic removed the paneling above the rear area where the leak originated from and that is where the F1 reservoir is located. He took the cap off, opened the driver door to charge the transmission and sure enough my level was perfect. He assured me there would be no more leaks. The other thing the dealer has been told to do recently is relocate the wiring harness ground. The cars come grounded to a cardboard washer and it will ultimatley cause electrical problems. Mine was too hot today to change it.
