    First GT3 RS pictures and more info!!!

    We just got these GT3 RS pictures in from one of our Users, including some detailled technical info.
    As we can't verify the source of this information, we ask everybody to take the whole thing with a grain of salt.
    However...looks good to me.

    Technical Information GT3 RS:
    • 390 HP
    • no PCCB but yellow calipers
    • Steering wheel with suede rim but retains airbag
    • Carbon Fibre look door mirrors
    • Air vent in engine cover bigger
    • Single mass flywheel
    • Suspension: revised and optimised suspension pickup points, stiffer springs and shocks
    • Carbon fibre rear wing
    • Lighter bodyshell, lighter rear window (plastic), lighter bonnet (carbon fibre), lightweight battery (50A/hr) and deletion of air con and air bags

    Do you think the front bumper cover with the Cup-car style vents would enhance cooling if it was retrofit to a regular GT3 (or is there additional ducting required also)?

    Cool pictures, but I too noticed that the second picture has only one bumperette as well. If these are true pictures of what may to come that then this is awesome!

    This is one reason why I said: they have to be taken with a grain of salt. But an hour ago I received a mail from somebody I know personally and he confirmed to me that the car on the pics looks like the real thing (he saw it a short while ago).
    As soon as the official press statement from Porsche comes out, you'll find it here.

    Looks like a Photoshop work, albeit a very good one indeed!The rear glass is normal and not made of Lexan, and the seats seem the leather covered ones, not the Clubsport, also the steering wheel looks like a standard GT3 wheel, not a suede one and then the bumperette...
    Anyway it gives us the opportunity to see something that should be very similar to the real thing.
    I hope the front gets a reworked spoiler as some sources point to.I'm starting to like the white color thing,very racy...But imagine such a beast in Slate grey or Guards Red!!!!

    Wow, Luigi...you must have the eyes of an eagle.
    I have the original pics over here (which are much larger) and I can't see one of the details you mentioned.
    My visibility sharpness is at 175% by the way...(made me the perfect sniper during my army days)

    But I agree: it could be a very nice Photoshop job (we already so a similar one over here, didn't we?) but the rumor that ALL GT3 RS street version will be white and only a very limited variation in design/color is possible would speak for the pictures to be genuine.
    Look also where the car is standing, it is some kind of rotating platform, something often used when Porsche does new model presentations to their dealers and employees.

    I'd say: wait until tomorrow, maybe we have some suprises.

    I took another look and the car on these pics looks like marginally lower than all the regular GT3s I've seen so far, this is a clue that strenghtens the possibility of the pics being genuine.It's really hard to tell...
    Anyway, if the car is like this, the front end remains exactly the same as the regular GT3's (apart from the apertures on the nose).This is a bit of a let down, since all the sources so far spoke of a reworked front spoiler with a bigger lip.
    If this is the final product I will definetely contact Exclusive department and have it painted in Guards Red.I hope this is going to be possible...

    Just for information purposes only.
    Unfortunately I think I know the answer:
    1. they take your finished and painted (white) car out of production (probably ex Porsche Motorsport in Weissach)
    2. they take it to Exclusive department and repaint it
    3. you get the bill
    4. you get a heart attack

    Maybe if they didn't paint it in white in the first place, and send it directly to Exclusive department....

    think about depreciation -- IMO the resale value will be a lot higher someday if you keep the original paint with the lettering!

    i personally LOVE the white color!

    Those pics are way better then mine.
    So it seems power is unchanged from the current GT3 (381hp) I find that a little bit dissapointing although the RS is clearly more hardcore then the GT3.
    Personally, I'd stick with the standard version.
