    Got a fascinating build date for July-build

    I got an order reference number and a build date of _JUNE_ 21 (yes, J-U-N-E)for my July-build S. Apparently they are building this run of Ss ahead of schedule. I trust this dealer, he's a good friend of a friend. But, only Porsche knows what will really happen.

    I suspect '05, as someone posted about a week ago that '06 production would begin in August. A search should reveal the actual post.

    July build 06 models, have not released dates yet. As of Friday they were still accepting change orders.

    did porsche confirm the TPMS? Please confirm it is a 06, as the July Build dates for the first 06s have NOT been released

    I was told my car would be built in July and delivered in August as an 06 car. Dealer said the factory was doing some kind of shut down and had to have all orders built and shipped by such and such or something. I should have paid better attention. I will get more info on Monday when I take in my deposit money.

    I suspect that it will be a 2005. I just talked to my dealer (I'm a June 13th 2005 completion), and he hasn't even received pricing for 2006 yet...

    What does your order invoice and (more importantly) what does your dealer's CURRENT printout read? It should have the year prominantly printed.

    According to dealer printout It will absolutely be a 2006 (zero six) Apparently Porsche is changing their traditional new MY scheduling a bit to make up for unusual demand.

    My car is an 06, but the prices my dealer quoted me were 05 prices straight off the Porsche web site?

    LOL Would be great to work at Porsche. Their moral must be very high. To tell you the truth, I'm so messed up by waiting, I don't care about some crummy little price increase I just want my frickin' car!!!

    My dealer told me the same thing - on the pro-forma invoice it also says 2006 as the model year so hopefully that vehicle that shows up in late August will be an '06 model

    burb: If this is correct, the C2S will increase by about 2.8% which is what others have quoted.

    About the prices...I asked if they were selling strictly MSRP or were giving/matching any deals - their response was "Yeah, we've just been authorized to give 3% off of the new '06 prices" - so basically last years' prices.

    Actually, these prices reflect almost a 2.9% increase for the C2, and a drop more than 2.9%the for the C2S.

    Does this 2.9% increase apply to options too?

    Of course; sorry that I used slightly sloppy English. My note meant to reflect that the C2S priced INCREASED by a bit MORE than 2.9%, while the C2 price also increased, but by a bit LESS than 2.9%. Porsche apparently just rounded off the numbers. Any idea whether option prices will similarly increase?

    When I went in on Monday to drop off the M3, my sales guy said my car is set to be built in the month of June. How long does it take for a car to be shipped and delivered once it is built?

    I did not get a list of prices for options, just the statement that they were offering 3% off '06 MSRP and 3% off any options. I have not heard anything about an increase in the option prices.

    Another board sez 4-5 weeks to west coast. So you're talking 3-4 weeks east coast!!!
