    July build 987S By Reannteam!

    Well its done guys... the order is in the build date set and the expected delivery is mid September (late august if the dealer can change their inbound units)

    Thanks to your posts and tips our choices were made easier and definitely much more precise... walking in there with a clear picture certainly helps.

    So in the finale my wife's new 987S comes out like this:

    - Cobalt Metallic Blue

    Is that steering wheel in leather or smooth leather?

    I've got (and prefer) the smooth, though I ordered it blind. 'Smooth' matches the rest of the leather. The bog standard sports wheel is a little knoblier leather.

    Congrats on the order though. Brave colour choice, but I'm sure it'll look stunning. Can't wait to see the pics.

    Oh no! Why didn't you get the rear console in exterior colour (cobalt)? The ultimate finishing touch! I can't see aluminium look with sand beige will go at all.

    Yeah-but-yeah-but-yeah-but like... isn't all the trim where the cupholders are, and the spokes of the steering wheel aluminium coloured? It'd just match with that, surely?
    I think silver RCC would look just as good if not better than Cobalt RCC.

    That's what we thought seeing that the rest of the stock trim was aluminum (light color) plus the sand beige, we didn't want the flow interrupted... plus add the silver belts as a nice finishing touch... gosh for moment there I sounded like my wife earlier.

    I dig the RCC in exterior dreamcar but the wife kinda chose something else, which to me, actually made good sense.

    Those wheels are sweet as well.... Not usually a fan of aftermarket wheels but those bad boys are v nice.

    Can the factory ship your car with winter tires? So that the 18s you'll otherwise not use be available for that at least?

    Nice build. Blue/blue/sand should work.

    You need winter tires in CA? Not sure you get a choice of tire brand. But if, it might be worthwhile to ensure this doesn't delay the delivery. My 987S has 19" Pilot Sport and I'm happy with them so far. Can't compare to other brands though.

    I will be receiving my vehicle around the same time as yours (I was told late August as well). We have similar spec, nice picks! Can't wait to see em...and now the wait begins...:(

    In Europe you can't choose the tire brand for your car
    Don't know for the States, but I assume it will be the same.
    Even if you spec the optional 19", NO CHOICE !!

    Yes, I asked to choose, but was told WYSIWYG, so I have Bridgestones RE050?? on 18"s believe these are also standard for Enzo.

    Porsche uses N-certified tires which are developped specifically for them and with them. You can't compare these tires to other tires of the same brand, name and type.
    To my knowledge, the Bridgestone coming in 18'' with the Boxster is a more comfort oriented tire. Sorry.
