I think you'll find xenons (no longer called litronic by Porsche) cannot be retrofitted. I was going to buy a Cayenne which did not have xenons fitted if the dealer could retrofit them. The dealer was very, VERY keen to sell the car to me and contacted Porsche's technical department who said retrofit was not possible. I ended up buying a car from another dealer which had the xenons fitted.

I think you can add Bi-Xenon's (That's what they're called now) retrospectively, but I think it it isn't able to be done to the same level as a factory fit. I think there's a sensor on the suspension or something somewhere that can't be retrofitted.

Reject the car. Bi xenons are worth every cent. Don't let the dealer bullsh't you otherwise. You want them, you specified them and someone somewhere cocked up. Don't compromise.

I know, am so p*%**D almost rejected car, got Phone Prep instead of Bi-Xenons & there is 201 kms on the clock & they were late registering car so now have to wait until Monday when no doubt it will rain. But waited tooooo lonngg for this. So will just drive & enjoy. Maybe trade for a new one in 12mths & be more careful with dealer. Are the standard HLights ok, any opinions? my past H4's have always been upgraded to Philips or Osram Silver Star.

On a new car that you specced? Shouldn't be any more than 50km's top. Someone IS taking the p*ss. Even more reason to reject the car - it isn't new!
I know it's not easy but don't let your dealer take advantage of your understandable enthusiam to get behind the wheel.

End in sight, after all these months, picking car up early friday morn (very early - Hee Hee) paperwork & deal done, taken day off to enjoy, had to wait another extra day for sim tracker to be fitted & also bought a Nokia 616 with optional handset to fit on phone prep which dealers special phone guys are going to fit on Thursday. If they drill a hole in my Baby will *"Pounds$* them off big time, ahh no!profesionals. Will post some pics over weekend.

No Prob, has anybody else noticed how cool that rearview mirror design looks, like aviator sunglasses shape, according to sunday times style anyway, the aviator sunglasses are this years hip to wear. Sorry just my enthusiasim? & totally irellevant. Thinking of doing one of those Porsche drivng courses that I just got in Porsche newsletter later this summer, anybody know more about it? Roll on summer sun & top down around Connemara, France later with planning.

Just a tip - but buy yourself some Mobil 1 - if my car is anything to go by it used over a litre in the first 1000 miles and the electro-dipstick was on the bottom brick and flashing. The oil consumption has been neglible since. And the handbook has good advice - only put the oil in 0.5 litres at a time, no matter what the dipstick tells you!
