    F430 Challenge?

    What do you guys think? Could it be a F430 challenge?

    Of course it's gonna be lower than a street F430, but this one looks low because the suspension is compressed under hard cornering.

    ferrari will be doing a great job by creating a f430 challenge stradale, i hope this car has more bhp than the gallardo, maybe 515 or more.

    That'll be easy for them to do. Simply change the weight number on the brochures & website.

    THEY ARE noted for understating the weight and overstating the HP, but the 430CS will still be fun and less bling ridden than the 430... if only they hadn't done the baby enzo tailights etc, reminds me of C class as baby S class marketing....

    Well like in the 360 cs you noticed that the car had some aerodynamics diffrent than the 360 in this case its probably that it will happen with the f430 and maybe get a small lip so u wont notice the tailights that much

    they undertate the over all weight but the weight diff they dont the stradale was realy lighter they the modena..

    Rumors indicates that this is the race version of the 430, not the Stradale!

    Look closely at the first picture of this thread and you can also understand why...

    Now I don't know what to do. I really want a 430CS but it was actually Ben who convinced me a couple of weeks ago to get the 430 spider in the meantime. Now I'm thinking about waiting again. Could a 430 CS be only a year or so away ?

    Well, could be. Next year at Geneva's autoshow we will see the Maranello successor, so there would be plenty of time and the possibility for a Frankfurt presentation...

    Two things:
    1) Very interesting, that we don't see anything like a Challenge grill at the car.
    2) Are these CCM-brakes behing the Challenge wheels? Looks like...

    yes rossi, those do seem to be the CCM brakes, the disks are huge!

    I would like to know or this is a factory car or a privateer preparing for a GT championship.

    It's strange to me that Ferrari is testing this car at Vallelunga and not at Fiorano.

    They already did a lot of tests in Fiorano...now it's time to be serious and start testing on a real race track!!

    That's why they were in Vallelunga and Monza!

    P.S. In Maranello they are quite busy with the Maranello Successor and the Dino Project...I think that for the Stradale we will have to wait more than 1 year!

    are they busy with the "dino project" ?? I doubt it !
    I was there at the end of april, and they did no anything about it, it was just the press who was making things up. BUT, there where some people who liked the idea, so something could possible, but I doubt that they are "busy" with it ...
    I think the stadale will come, at least one year after the first whole season of the 430 challenge cup !, I think they use a lot of feedback from the challenge races.

    I think that a CS for the 430 is going to be available a year before the 430 gets changed for a new model.

    I think it will come a little bit earlier, not as late as in case of the 360, because Ferrari should have realised, how much money they can earn with a CS model. So they should give it a longer production period than the 360CS.

    i agree. a lot of customers are asking for the CS version, so why should ferrari wait?

    and if the F430 model cycle is at it's end, i have no doubt that ferrari will develop some other special edition car to maintain sales -- maybe an even more hardcore F430 GTO, or a F430 with this superamerica roof (one for me please! )
