Head and shoulders above the disgusting so called "professional" press photos. Except for the foglights, the C7S now looks much better. 
I just wish it had the reliable, high-revving GT3 engine, a limited slip differential, 20mm lower sports suspension with electronic 4" nose lift, 200 lbs. lighter, thicker steering wheel, GT3 steel 6 front/4 rear piston brakes and brake pedal feel, a heavy clutch, short-shifter, and PSE.

You left out a lightned single mass flywheel from your list!
Im sure Andial in California, who builds Porsche race cars, could add all that stuff for mucho dinero. Find a wrecked GT3 for a donor car.
The photos posted above look better than the factory PR photos, but they also look a bit distorted. I cant tell of the Cayman rear cargo area has a flat floor or a hump in it
and the carpeted engine access panel looks very interesting!

I'm sure the aftermarket people are well along tooling up for the anticipated demand for better looking insert for the front intakes/fog lights and different side intake that's less gill - like , in addition to huge rear ricer wings . Nothing you can do about the Audi TT " helmet - head " arched roof , though.

I'll settle for a nice looking "C7S" emblem to put on the hatch.....after the name delete option is checked.

Auto Express and a few others have said that this will be the mid range Cayman. There will be a lower priced on with a stock boxer engine and an RS (So they say...) I would doubt that it would have the GT3 engine but even the 3.8 ltr with 355bhp would be quick. Auto Express said "Standard and RS versions are expected some time next year, with the latter tipped to be one of the fastest Porsches ever made."
Sounds promising.
Hopefully (and realistically) 2800 lbs., Carrera S engine with 355 bhp, GT3 seats, next to no sound deadening, no air, basic radio (with total delete optional), bolt in bar like GT3, 6 point harnesses, lower & stiffer supension, with adjustible shocks, NO PSM or traction control, an LSD and PCCB (that works) and sequential gearbox options.

The only problem is Andial is located all the way in California. Since a modified car is usually less reliable than its OEM counterpart, fixing any problems would be difficult for someone who does not live in California.
And would Andial really be able to construct a reliable, electronic nose lift?
