Need some help choosing a color for 997S

I currently own a 997 and I am completely fascinated by it. Although my initial intentions were to get a 997S, it was extremely difficult due to availability. I have just drawn up a final list of my desired options, but I seem to be second guessing myself about the color of the car. My current choice, is black/black with red stitching on the leather and red safety belts. I would greatly appreciate some input on color combos for the car.

Ray, I've got Black with Terracotta interior, and absolutely love it. I also got the E36 aluminum and leather upgrade which wraps the a/c vents in leather to match the interior. It's an exotic look. I think the red belts and stitching on black would be a bit contrived looking, if that makes sense at all. I guess it just reminds me of the black with red highlight interior in my GMC Syclone. Very 1980's.... I've always been fond of light-colored interiors with dark stitching, like cream with black stitching, etc.., but never been much for dark interiors with bright opposing stitching. If you want a black interior, I'd go all-black, with maybe an aluminum-look console to break things up. So, for whatever my opinions may be worth, there ya go!!!

once again, it comes down to ones own personnal taste, I still think the red with black looks quite nice, but that's just me IMO, it came out nice on my noble and it has the similar colours you want to put in

Silver and Black, all German all Porsche. yeah, there's alot of 'em. But Silver looks gorgeous when the sun rises or sets nearby. Middle grey (or silver), it's the best way to appreciate the 3-D of sculpture. Besides who said a Work Of Art should be in your favorite color?

My 997 is silver with black, and I absolutely love it. Thanks alot for the help guys, I just hope it doesn't come down to me flipping a coin!

krown05, havent you already received your 997??

Why the second thoughts on combo's?

Or are you thinking of changing your car?

Mine is Silver/black for what its worth, might seem a little common but its THE color for Porsche.

Plus i ll be adding soon some interior extras like
a combo of Carbon/Alu look interior and red colored seat belts...

He bought a standard Carrera. Now, he's putting together an order for a Carrera S. The first post was pretty clear on that I thought.

Silver with black looks nice, but it's dimestore common, classic or not. If you are going to the trouble and the wait on a special-order, make it special. Otherwise, hell, your dealer can locate you a dozen Silver S's by trading with other dealers. No offense to those out there with that combo, it's just kinda the default color for dealer-spec alotments.

Atlas grey/ black full leather with optional Silver-Grey seat belts would be sharp.

Get the colored wheel crests to add a bit of color if you want, or stick with industrial cold aura
atlas/full black/black and white wheel centres, with the taillights and brake calipers in red as the only *color* would look wicked.

The best/most interesting colour combo I've seen is the Dark Olive metallic with cocoa.

You won't see many like it and it harkens back to the good old days when porsche colours were different and interesting...

Yikes.... Different and interesting doesn't always equate attractive. George Barris has spent a lifetime proving that. Leave green and brown for the exterior camouflage paint on your hunting truck!!

Dark Olive and Cocoa. Now that's eccentric...
