    Insurance - Privilege - good deal

    My 997s arrives in June. My current insures Adrian Flux (M4/42 years old/full no claims/no speeding) quoted Pounds1200.

    I have just had a quote from privilege - Pounds745 (870 with no-claims protection). Includes legal help, curtosy car etc.

    They also for the first 12 months replace the car with a new one if it is written off (and you are still around to care!).

    Seemed like a good deal.

    hi, i am also with privledge, got similar deal to you! make sure you do not take there offer of loan car as this limits where they send your car to be fixed in the case of accident! without having loan car this means you pick where it gets fixed! ie;POC...

    I'd give a big thumbs up for Privilege too. My car has just been at OPC for 2 weeks for warranty work. Privilege provided free cover on the courtesy Cayenne provided by the dealer. Will only really know how good they are though when it comes to a claim!!

    My quote from Privilege was much higher than my quote from Liverpool Victoria... But that was on a 987S in Dorset.

    Have you guys tried -- First Alternative..

    Myself 39yrs , 12 months fully comp , courtesy car etc etc

    Pounds979 on 997S but must have tracker fitted..

    On my 987 S I had a very good quote from Porsche - Pounds620, Pounds350xs, protected no-claims, courtesy car, 2 x free track day cover, all work by Porsche approved repairer, Tracker not mandatory. Car garaged, 9,000 miles / yr, self (49) and my wife both no claims, no convictions.

    My Porsche quote was MUCH higher than my LV quote. I guess it depends on how the insurance company is feeling at the time. I found LV better for me (34) as they didn't require a tracker (although there might be a Pounds50k limit on that) and they didn't care about speeding points, only bans. 6 points, one recent claim, protected no-claims, ungaraged, 15k miles a year => Pounds677/year Pounds400xs. They've stopped giving free track day cover though unfortunately.
