Interesting problem... 2005 (june build) vs 2006 (july build

I'm deciding about a 2005 C2S (June build) with guaranteed delivery approx July-August vs. 2006 C2S (July build) with unknown delivery (from this site, I've seen delivery could be anytime from August to October). Both cars have identical specs, but I'm concerned about taking a hit on immediate depreciation with the 2005. I plan to buy and keep the car.
I've already ordered the July car - but I want to drive as soon as possible!!! I'm concerned about the POSSIBLE delayed delivery for 2006 (?is Porsche really going to hold all 2006 cars until September before shipping as some on this board have suggested?).
Suggestions??? Thanks

immediate depreciation? as far as i know on previous posts, the prices are just going up?

Is it right to assume that within a month of building a June 2005 car it is considered to be 1 year old (ie: depreciated) since the July (2006) cars are being produced??

I waited for my 986S and my M3 for many months. It was bad at the time, but now I don't even remember it. Don't be intimidated by waiting. We're big boys, we can handle the wait for our new toys. I'd wait and get the 06 AND order TPMS to justify it.

Yes, I believe that is correct, because the resale market will call it a 2005, or a 2006 depending on the VIN number.
