Wonderbar:This is not actually my car, but a very close example of the one I have ordered and should be delivered in September.
I had originally ordered GT silver but changed my mind. Will post more pics when it arrives.
I also have "ordered" one which looks very similar but the way things are looking I don't expect to see it by September '23

Wonderbar:My car has been scheduled for production as of July 8. But no start production date yet. Getting a bit anxious. I thought I had remembered that Porsche closes its factory in August. If that’s correct, my car has just over two weeks to be produced. Any thoughts, advice?
The actual production bit, takes about a day. But the validation side of things takes longer, like another day or two.
I seem to recall Porsche schedule stuff about a week or so in advance, so your car should start production this week, if not next the latest.
It might however get stuck in the shipping yard, but that's the global logistic bottleneck at work.

My Taycan Turbo just got delayed to be here by early September. It was built July 4th. Looks like it will be sitting at the port in Germany for a month…..shortage of ships?

Gnil:My 4RS with delivery planed last week has just been delayed to end of August. A very strange last minute notification.
If it makes you feel any better, mine was suppose to enter production this week and I still haven't had any word one way or another. So likely also delayed. It was initially scheduled to be a factory delivery last Friday but once they told me it will be delayed due to parts I canceled the European delivery and just gonna have them ship it over.

This car will become a future classic to be enjoyed for many years to come. Don't worry about a delay of few weeks.

Seems they have a bit of a mess at the moment. My car was delayed after it was supposed to be at the dealer. Over a week with now news after supposed date if delivery. Hard to get infos about real reasons. Answer is problem with spare parts and materials.
A friend from Munich ordered a GTS first, then got the chance to get a GT3 Touring instead (lucky coincidence, his business partner had ordered one and had financial issues).
Saw the car last weekend for the first time, all black...WOW. This car looks like a Carrera on steroids, very nice, loved it.
My son already gave it a nickname: Arnold.

My GT3 has been built, it is sitting in a "post production warehouse" in Germany awaiting shipment to the UK. I did BTW ask if I could do European delivery and pick the car up in Germany. Unfortunately, the brilliant UK bureaucrats over here have not worked out post-Brexit how such an arrangement could possibly work and so Porsche gave me the "we regret to inform you that we are unable at this time to offer European delivery for UK based customers....".
Wonderbar:RC, any inside Porsche news about delays, production outlook? Everything seems clogged up and confused. People waiting for cars with no idea of when they might get them.
There are serious production/parts availability/logistics issues everywhere.

Can I ask why you are blaming the UK bureaucrats for this, do you have details or is this just a (somewhat justified) remainer rant ?

I also think it has to do with subcontractors parts deliveries - everybody is delayed hence they cannot build properly. I've heard of retrofitting parts after production etc - so they basically just produce the base car and then try to add the options one order once they come it which takes of course much longer than doing this just-in-time on the band.
